Upholding tourism in the midst of pandemic using data and technology

Sector : Tourism

Theme : Upholding tourism in the midst of pandemic using data and technology

Known for its festivities, historic narratives, and sociologically reflective landmarks, the City of Butuan realizes the creation of an information site accommodating a huge volume of relevant data sets/information. Butuan City views data and technology as an effective tool in gearing up the local economy by providing safe spaces for sanity and health stability.  To anticipate the challenge of the fourth industrial revolution, Butuan City takes the lead in encouraging its people to develop innovations considering safeness and economic appreciation using data and technology through hackathons.  Datasets and other entries that will be collected in this challenge will be used in hackathons to create a pitch project for Butuan that will address their problem in the toursim sector.
