Over 2,300 scholars of the Project Smarter Philippines through Data Analytics, Research & Development, Training, and Adoption (SPARTA) celebrated their achievements as new graduates in the virtual Recognition Ceremony and Career Fair 2023, themed "Pathways to Excellence: Navigating Success, Inspiring Futures," hosted by the Development Academy of the Philippines.

The ceremony marked the culmination of the dedicated efforts of over 700 main pathway graduates and nearly 1,600 microspecialization pathway graduates.

DAP Vice President and SPARTA Project Lead Alan S. Cajes commended the graduates as individuals "now equipped with the knowledge and skills to make a significant impact in the field of data science and analytics, and beyond."

Encouraging a "brighter, smarter, and data-driven future," Cajes challenged the graduates to be critical thinkers and apply their newfound expertise to create innovative solutions for the nation's advancement.

To facilitate graduates' entry into the data analytics industry, SPARTA organized a career fair featuring Mega Prime Foods Inc., Emerson Electric Asia, and Infinit-O. This virtual event provided SPARTA graduates, along with livestream viewers, the opportunity to explore DSA job prospects and engage in discussions about hiring processes within these esteemed organizations.

Selected graduates shared their testimonials, with Analytics Manager pathway graduate, Kristel Anne Pua, recounting her transformative journey with SPARTA. She emphasized how the program empowered her to significantly contribute to her workplace, describing it as instrumental in honing her skills and enabling her to make meaningful contributions to her agency's projects.

The event was graced by representatives from SPARTA partner organizations, including Ms. Emmy Lou Delfin, Director for ICT Industry Development Bureau at the Department of Information and Communications Technology; Dr. Ruby Raterta, Chief for Human Resources and Institution Development Division at the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development; and Ms. Rossana Adao, Executive Director of Far Eastern University-Institute of Technology.
