Environmental and Climate Change literacy are one of those priorities that need to be given emphasis, especially in a country like the Philippines encounters an average of 20 Tropical Cyclones entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) every year and posting a destructive wave to the archipelago. As the country transitioned to the challenge of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, several technological innovations were introduced, yet, are limited to a few. Otherwise, its importance was never given emphasis as an essential platform to empower communities and be part of the implementation.
That is why it is in the best interest of the City of Cauayan to partner with the DOST and DAP to transform existing data sets into innovations that will make way to spread awareness about utilizing technological innovations relatively significant for climate resiliency.
The following use-case statements are your guide to help you align your intention in addressing areas of this challenge:
a. How can data be transformed into digital infrastructure where climate resiliency is emphasized to uphold regional organization?
b. How can data and technology help disseminate emerging information about climate resiliency to encourage NGOs and International Financial Institutions to invest in the LGU of Cauayan?
c. How can data and technology empower communities to take part in combating the adverse effects of climate change?
d. How can data and technology support initiatives of employing sustainable infrastructures for development?
e. How can data and technology encourage locals to utilize emerging technological innovations to track agricultural challenges and consolidate options to address food security?
f. How can data and technology empower communities to adopt innovations enhancing their occupation without compromising environmental sustainability?
