As a Smart City, Cauyan is committed to delivering quality services to its constituents and one way to sustain such is to employ digital infrastructures as an anticipation of the challenge of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. However, budgetary requirements remain to be challenging in these trying times of the pandemic where projects are on hold and emphasis focused on combatting disease transmissions. Procurement and budgeting provisions become tight when establishing infrastructure in the case. It is questioned as an essential move or not, yet, food as the main focus of such a proposal becomes unrecognizable. That is why, the Open Data Challenge is a critical opportunity for the LGU to seek clean and reliable data sets that would help achieve this objective.
