Taking Project Sparta helped me better contextualize and execute data driven decisions, not just for myself, but for everyone I work with. I remember back in school, numbers intimidate and confuse me, but looking back, it was probably just poor visualization and storytelling using data. Data is amazing, and should be loved more!

Project SPARTA - Smarter Philippines through Data Analytics R&D, Training and Adoption was launched in order to put in place the necessary online education, research and development mechanisms and infrastructure to enable the industry of data science and analytics and to advance smart governance practices.
Specifically, it aims to:
SPARTA was a project established in 2019 by the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP) through a grant from the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), in partnership with the Analytics and AI Association of the Philippines (AAP), and Coursebank. Since 2023, DAP-SPARTA has housed its online courses in the DAP's own learning platform, Linang.
