The economy is one of the pillars of development and in order to achieve growth, establishing appropriate infrastructures with sustainable functionalities must be considered a top priority. To sustain food security, Butuan City plans to put up sustainable and data-driven innovations to enable functionalities of appropriate infrastructures such as drainage systems, liquid and solid waste treatment facilities, and full waste diversion equipment. Policies and ideas needed for the city’s plan will be gathered from local hackathons that will make use of the city’s data hub.
